Healthy Land and Water, together with the Department of Environment and Science and the International Erosion Control Association invite you to join us for a half-day classroom based training session followed by a half-day field demonstration at the site.
The basics of soil erosion and the benefits of best practice ESC will be covered to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how soil erosion is an environmental issue. The difference between erosion control & sediment control will be explained along with correct ESC techniques and methods and ESC products.

- Reusable water bottle
- Notepad and pen
- Sun-safe eyewear
What to wear:
- Hard hats
- Steel cap boots
- Long pants and long sleeve high vis shirts
The above PPE gear is a requirement of all attendees in accessing the site. If you do not have the appropriate PPE gear, you can only attend the training session in the morning. This training session also equates to 5 hours of personal development, endorsed by the International Erosion Control Association.
All attendees are required to sign in at the start of the day and complete an induction. This is a site requirement of the training session and officers will be on site to assist with any queries you may have.
