Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Program

What is Erosion and Sediment?

Erosion and Sediment, the process of soil particles washing into our waterways, is considered the number one issue affecting South East Queensland with up to 50,000 dump trucks worth of pollutants entering our waterways each year. As an increasingly major issue, it is important that home-builders and buyers are adopting the ethos of the Queensland Environmental Protection Act 1994 – not only to adhere to legal requirements, but to improve their own cost-implications of rectifying such an issue post-build.

ESC Program

The Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Program is a procedure used to improve soil erosion at construction and building sites. As the subsequent release of sediment is considered a major threat to the health of our waterways (and the businesses and lifestyles that depend on them), improving erosion and sediment control practices is a practice and cost-effective strategy to reduce the environmental impacts and cost-implications of erosion and sediment.
