Since early 2018, Healthy Land and Water has been working to restore a section of Enoggera Creek at the end of Davidson Street in Newmarket, Brisbane. The project aims to improve water quality and community access to the creek. After close collaboration with local residents and months of careful planning and design, on-ground work on the project is nearing completion. One key feature of the restoration project is the raingarden, which collects and treats stormwater runoff before it enters the creek. It’s hugely beneficial for the environment. Let’s see how it works! The project is proudly supported by Healthy Land and Water, Brisbane City Council, the Australian Government, the Queensland Government, Save our Waterways Now and MODE.
