Calling all DA Officers ….
Water by Design invites you to particiapate in the SEQ Development Assessment Forum. This forum will be bursting with key info on the latest water sensitive urban design (WSUD) policies, tools and resources available to aid Development Assessment (DA) officers in their everyday work, as well as opportunities to share experiences with others in the DA sector. The forum will be followed by drinks and nibbles to launch MUSIC Version 4 and the MUSIC Modelling Guidelines for SEQ.

Objectives of the forum:
To bring together DA teams from across the SEQ region to:
- provide active and effective facilitator-lead networking opportunities
- provide an opportunity to share experiences, opinions and explore opportunities for collaboration in implementing water sensitive urban design
- familiarise officers with new development assessment tools including the Water Sensitive Urban Design Deemd to Comply Solutions for SEQ and the MUSIC Modelling Guidelines for SEQ
- provide officers with an understanding of how the SEQ legislative framework relates to WSUD (discussion of SEQ Regional Plan 2009-2031 Implementation Guideline 7: Water Sensitive Urban Design and the Draft State Planning Policy – Healthy Waters)
Who should attend the forum:
Council officers involved with WSUD would benefit from attending this forum. A range of professions are encouraged to attend including planners, engineers, environmental/ ecological officers and landscape architects. Both experienced and inexperienced WSUD practitioners would benefit from attendance. Although the forum is focused on development assessment teams, officers from strategic planning, environmental planning and engineering services (works) are welcome.
Facilitator:
The day will be facilitated by Andre Taylor, an experienced facilitator and communicator with a sound understanding of sustainable urban water management from a local government perspective.
Cost:
Subsidised cost per person $250 + GST

A tax invoice will be forwarded for payment to the person and address noted on the registration form. Registrations cancelled less than three days prior to the forum are non-refundable but are transferable to another individual within the same organisation.
