We've had a couple of people ask how to get 6 minute rainfall pluviograph data from the Bureau of Meteorology website for use in MUSIC. It is not a standard product on the BoM website and needs to be ordered. This page has the details on how to order it: http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/cdo/about/supply.shtml The MUSIC modelling guidelines conveniently lists the recommended rainfall stations and date ranges for use in the SEQ region.

Specify that you want 6 minute pluviograph data in a text file suitable for use in the MUSIC model.

BoM will then send you an email with a quote and payment details.

It is worth noting that music version 4 users with an active support and maintenance subscription have access to our Rainfall Data tool. This is a graphical utility that allows you to search via map or postcode to locate the pluviograph data closest to your site.

There is currently access to over 1600 rainfall stations throughout Australia and data is immediately downloadable in a music-ready format.
